The XV Pan-American Games opened with a hugely successful ceremony that integrated mass choreography with production design in a seamless and spectacular fashion. 90,000 packed Maracaña Stadium, Rio de Janeiro, one of the largest in the world, to see the show which was broadcast live across the Americas.

The ceremony won an Emmy award for Costume Design
